Elizabeth, founder of ES Content Creative, here. With all that talk about stories, you may be wondering, “Well, what’s yours?” Grab a drink and allow me to set the scene…
The year was 2013. Blogging was all the rage (where are my fellow Tumblr and WordPress girlies?), and digital nomads were becoming a thing (hello Couchsurfing 👋🏼). Inspired by those free spirits and go-get-em’ founders, this fresh-out-of-college Ohio girl booked herself a one-way ticket to Europe — with a whole lot of dreams and not a whole lot of plans. But I was crystal clear on two things: I wanted a life full of meaning and adventure, and I wanted to use my writing and digital skills to help brands make an unforgettable impression online.
After several months of cafe hopping around Europe and a formative internship helping start-ups hone their messaging, I eventually landed in Amsterdam. That’s where I got serious about helping brands craft stories and content that converted into sales and real-life impact.
Now, after more than a decade at it, ES Content Creative has evolved into a small copywriting studio focused on uplifting creative and purpose-driven brands through the written word. These days, I’ve traded WordPress for Substack and Amsterdam for Luxembourg, but at heart, I’m still the same Ohio girl (those Midwestern roots run deep) driven by the values of freedom and creativity that made me book that one-way ticket all those years ago.
